Aura Weather App

Aura is a mobile weather application designed to transform a daily digital utility into an immersive, atmospheric ritual. Inspired by the concept of synesthesia—a neurological phenomenon where the senses intertwine—I wanted to explore how a digital interface could evoke a physical feeling. Rather than just presenting cold data and icons, the app is built to wrap the user in the "aura" of the forecast. It’s about more than just checking the temperature; it’s about capturing the specific mood and energy of the atmosphere the moment you unlock your screen.
To achieve this, I focused on a UI that feels intentionally tranquil and fluid. Each page shifts its visual language to reflect the emotional weight of the weather, using soft gradients and a color palette that mimics the actual environment. Whether it’s the cool, hushed tones of a rainy morning or the glowing warmth of a golden-hour sunset, the design uses a serene logic to guide the viewer. The result is a meditative user experience that turns a simple routine into a moment of calm connection with the world outside.
