During my time at Exclusive Events, I felt exponential growth as a technician and leader. With my previous painting and lighting experience, I was able to come up with unique solutions to challenging designs in the fast-paced environment of the event industry.
Collaborating with a design team and fellow technicians helped me see the progression from the design phase to the load-in phase in a different way that is not seen in theatre.
Being put in a leadership role allowed me to round myself out even more as a technician. I got to learn more about the rigging process, and even got to learn how to drive a 20' box truck.
Having ensured trust in my team became so valuable, and learning more about the entertainment and event industry gave me a new edge as a designer and technician.
